Music

I've downloaded 200 hundred songs this morning, I may be in need of some serious help....

Did you know that Amazon is offering the top albums of 2008 for $5 each? That’s fifty popular albums from the past year, all available as MP3 downloads for just $5.

If you got a new iPod or Zune or whatever for the holidays, or you already had one...this is your chance to stock it up with new music on the cheap!

Just think all this music will come in handy when you out on the bike...

Enjoy music, enjoy life!

Local Entertainment and more...

We've added a new link to the side bar in case you haven't already noticed, it's the Rogue and Poet link which takes you to a great site created by a man named John. Although we've never met John in person, we have heard nothing but outstanding things about him.

John created Rogue and Poet with the desire to showcase local artists, galleries, musicians, authors, crafters and even a few photographers.

John's been quoted saying, "I want people to come to my site when they are wondering what to do or where to go in the Rogue Valley for entertainment. "

So we did just that!

We are going to be hanging out this Friday night at the G Street Bar & Grill, soaking in the rockin tunes of The Retro Brothers one of our favorite local bands.

We won't be on the bike this time, but if you want to join us for some fun and music come on out!

Brookings.....

The good news is....
Brookings lived up to it's reputation of being the banana belt of Oregon.

The bad news is....
We froze our A$$es off on the way back....
45 degrees, wet and foggy....
burrrr....

It was nice of Bill and Dixie to meet us at Collier tunnel and lead us to the sun shine!

After a nice lunch at Pancho's we parted ways in the parking lot. Some were able to stay and enjoy the sun and warmth, while the rest of us had to suffer home through the cold and fog.

Even if for a short time, it was good to see the ocean, the sun and even better to feel the warmth of it on our skin.

Until next time,

What will you do when your 82 years old?

University of Richmond Chancellor E. Bruce Heilman, 82, sets off on October 1 to ride his motorcycle from Richmond, Va., to San Diego -- covering up to 250 miles per day for 19 days. It's a reverse route across the states he hitchhiked through as a 20-year-old post-World War II Marine.

Happy Halloween....

In honor of Halloween, I thought I present you with two of our local Ghost Towns.

Kerby, Oregon, This former gold mining town is on US 199, five miles south of Selma. Kerby was established around 1850, and through the 1850s was a major gold mining camp with some 500 people.

and

Golden, Oregon, This former mining town is currently being restored. Approximately 3 miles east of Wolf Creek heading up Coyote Creek.

If the weather changes and decides to cooperates on Saturday, We thought it would be nice to take a ride to the two towns and check them out.

Who's in???

Indian Summer...

For those of you who didn't ride today you really missed out. The warmth was wonderful for this time of year and the atmosphere of fall was all around. Beauty was just waiting to be seen.

From Grants Pass we headed out to Shady Cove where we stopped off for some Mexican lunch, ole!

Left out of there, headed to Prospect and back down and around through Butte Falls and then home sweet home.

It was a really great afternoon.

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
Benjamin Franklin
and don't stay in Happy Camp unless your packing!!!

Perfect weather, amazing sights, glitches with gas stations and a weight watchers lunch. There was no better way to end our ride then to have burgers and drinks at Kate's...
Another great day spent with mi amigos!

SOAM...

Sex on a motorcycle.....doesn't that sound exciting? and tasty!

I’m talking about “Sex on a Motorcycle” — the adult beverage, what did you think?!
For reference it includes one ounce each of melon liqueur, Blue Curacao, pineapple juice, coconut rum and sweet and sour mix. Shake and pour over ice.

And if you were hoping for more... read this article, about Sex On A Harley-Davidson, written by columnist B. Elwin Sherman. It tackles the question of safety without giving up the thrills!!!

Enjoy!!

Organic Ashland...

A last minute ride to tame a pasta craving...

We headed out about 1:00 to the oh so diverse Ashland, Oregon. We booked it on the freeway to fill our guts with organic pasta, Wiley's World was definitely the right choice. After lunch we took the scenic route through the pear orchards in the foothills above Medford and ended up at Touville Lodge, but that's a whole nother story!!!

One lucky member seems to have landed himself a new 2009 Roadking Classic, buying it at a dealership all the way back in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With nary a look back at his poor Fatboy.

Until next time, Duty calls...
